The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, Sydney #DGR

DGR-2014-bikelineup

From Ducati, Triumph, Moto Guzzi, Norton, Deus Customs, Harley Davidson, BMW and more – the thrill of the revved engines excited everyone. From onlookers, to pillion riders, to the crowd lined up along the chosen streets throughout the beautiful city of Sydney – they all had a very strong sense of what the Ride was about. Celebration towards life, and the humbled ability to join a cause that makes a difference.

A Riders Life, is a culture and a passion hard to shake. It represents an incredible sense of freedom. A connection into a culture of goodness and the ability to buy a dream. A bike, a companion and a mischievous partaker in ripping up the tarmac.

X-Factor judges and dynamic duo, RedFoo and Ronan Keating were also part of the fund-raiser. Not because of their celebrity status, but because they too are avid riders. Both on stunning Triumph machines, they took to the course in style.

As StigOfStyle from MenStylePower got dressed this morning, it was a solemn experience, almost dressing as you were to see someone off on a bon voyage. After styling the dapper double-breasted grey-check suit compliments of Farage Australia, matched back with Original Aviator’s riders’ goggles , Deus gloves, and R.M Williams boots (one of 20 pairs the dude has!), it was that moment when you realised you were heading into the day with 500 other riders for a great cause that made you humble in the most appreciative of ways.

The terrific chaps at Moto Guzzi have loaned us a powerful Californian 1400cc for the day and wowza, we only got out of first gear twice through the entire two-hour ride. If you didn’t know, The Moto Guzzi California’s history began in 1968 to supply the Los Angeles Police Department. And yes was the inspiration to commence the hit TV show CHIPS.

Here’s the pics of the day.
